The Craft of Publishing was created to challenge the limitations of traditional writing and publishing advice—which too often upholds rigid norms, gatekeeping, and creative conformity. Much of it overlooks essential steps, lacks transparency, and fails to make space for those of us telling stories that disrupt, heal, and liberate.
As a team of three women of color—with years of experience as writers, editors, and community workers—we’re here to share everything we’ve learned, not just about writing a book, but navigating publishing with integrity and care.
This course offers a step-by-step, holistic path from concept to completed manuscript. You’ll gain the structure, support, and editorial guidance to shape your vision while honoring your voice and values. But we don’t stop there.
The Craft of Publishing also covers what happens after the book is written—from query letters and proposals to navigating publishing routes and advocating for your work.
The course is regularly updated with new lessons and insights, ensuring it continues to grow alongside you.
This is publishing reimagined—for those who write with purpose, challenge the status quo, and are ready to bring their stories into the world on their own terms.
